The Visit is an original artwork realized by Joseph Mezzara in the middle 19 th century. Pencil, Charcoal Drawing. Hand signed on the back. Good Conditions. Joseph Mezzara (1820-1901) was an American Sculptor. He took lessons from the painter Jean Pierre Granger, the sculptor Pierre Jean David d'Angers and the painter Ary Scheffer. Between 1852 and 1875, he participated several times in the Paris Salon from 1852 to 1875, with the busts. The French Comedy has a bust of "A. de Musset", the Church of Clamart, "The Madonna" and the Museum of Chambéry, the bust of "Pierre Lanfrey". This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
