Circa 1870 "Pre-Nippon" Japan Bon Bon or Candy Dish. This is hand painted with lovely roses and has lots of Cobalt glaze on handle and edges. Glazes are a little heavier than most pieces of that era. It has a footed base formed in Six-sided Star. Finest, very early hand painted porcelain wear.
Excellent, as-created condition. Measures 7.5 by 1.75 inches; weighs 12 oz.
