Exceptional 1950s glass plate by Master Craftsman and Artist Maurice Heaton features rows of clear glass lines in a zigzag pattern on a background of speckled glass created by fusing crystals of enamel to the glass surface. The zigzag pattern is created by the absence of color for a striking effect. The effect highlights the almost ethereal quality of the plates especially when viewed against a darker background. The plate features the artists monogram “MH” on the front scratch free surface.
