A Japanese glazed vessel from the Edo period.
Made in the Tanba area since the 12th century, these ceramic and stoneware vessels are coveted due to the naturally occurring glaze which can cover the pieces, creating a wabi-sabi aesthetic.
Ribbed form with a textural surface and a dripped deep brown glaze.
