A Japanese glazed stoneware vase from the Meiji period.
Made in the Tanba area since the 12th century, these ceramic and stoneware vessels are coveted due to the naturally occurring glaze which can cover the pieces, creating a wabi-sabi aesthetic.
Bulbous form with a flared round neck, covered in green dripped glaze running from olive green to shades of dark celadon.
