There’s just something about blue and white earthenware that makes an elegant statement and above all, seems to work with any style. These whimsical cuties, given to me as a gift, have been used as small garnish trays when entertaining (i.e. sliced lemons, limes, etc.) but can be used as decorative accents, trinket trays or whatever your imagination can conjure up. Rich in personality and variety due to the shading and brushstrokes, colors are crisp white and cobalt with cocoa brown drip glaze rims. Medium is earthenware that is highly glazed on top and lower sides with matte cross hatch bottoms. Each measures 6¾”x 5½” x ½” W/D/H.; together the set weighs 1 lb. 2 oz. In excellent condition with minimal use wear. To keep them looking fabulous, hand wash. The trio hails from the late 20th century and each has a makers hallmark on the underside. For a collector of blue and white ware, these playful cuties should be a must have or the perfect gift for someone who is.
