Waiting Room is an original etching and drypoint realized by Marcel Vertés. Good condition, signed by the artist. Glued on a plastic base. Marcel Vertès (Budapest, 10 August 1895 – New York 31 October 1961) was a French costume designer and illustrator of Hungarian-Jewish origins. Vertès is also responsible for the original murals in the Café Carlyle in the Carlyle Hotel in New York City, New York and for those in the Peacock Alley in the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
