We absolutely couldn't resist this impish little monkey perched on a enormous peach! This is quite a large hand crafted ceramic sculpture from China, the peach represents longevity whilst the monkey is regarded as an intelligent, smart, lively, and brave animal.
In traditional Chinese culture, the monkey is much admired. Culture surrounds the monkey, which is an indispensable component of Chinese life and is seen in various aspects, including literature, arts, history, folk customs, and daily life.
This would make a very unusual gift for someone born in the year of the monkey! A very curious and eye catching piece!
