The Modernist exhibition poster print is published by the famous Galerie Melki Paris, printed in France in 1975 in an unnumbered limited edition on the occasion of a joint exhibition of Auguste Herbin and Josef Albers at Galerie Melki in 1975. It features an Abstract artwork image created by Herbin in a rich, elegant, vibrant color palette.

Auguste Herbin ( 1882 - 1960 ) The French born Modernist artist is best known for his Cubist and Abstract painting compositions of strong colorful geometric forms. he was the co-founder of the groups Abstract-Creation and Salon des Realities Nouvelles which promoted non figurative Abstract Art in The Mid 20th Century in Paris. In 1942 he created his " Alphabet Plastique ", a concept of relating color, shape, music notes and letters. These forms became the language of his paintings, which he continued to create until his death in 1960. Art works by Herbin are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.

The rare out of print fine art silkscreen print framed exhibition poster measures 22 7/8" W X 34 1/4" H X 1 3/8" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern recessed beveled detailed matte eggshell finish black wood frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " very clean vintage condition consistent with age and light signs of handling.
