The Blendo … Read more Offering a rare complete Blendo Spray Mist Collection 7 piece Salad Bowl Set by Anchor Hocking in Peach. The Blendo Spray Mist design was produced by the West Virginia Glass Speciality Company of Weston, WV between 1956 to 1986. It was very popular and in high demand so WV Specialty teamed up with two other glass companies to capitalize on the design. The other two companies were Colonial Glass and Anchor Hocking. Specialty and Colonial produced glasses, pitchers and cocktail sets. In 1971, Specialty and Anchor Hocking tested a joint venture as Anchor featured a Spray Mist Collection cocktail set in their catalog that year. It sold out fast and the two companies expanded their relationship. Anchor Hocking already produced Salad Bowls and Sets. So they used their molds to create a Spray Mist Salad Set for only a couple years in the 1970s. This is one of those sets. They are very rare and even more so when they are complete. The set features the Salad bowl, two vinegar and oil cruets, a salt and pepper and the two lucite salad utensils, which are almost always missing. All Blendo items are valued based on the condition of the gold accent bands. This set’s gold rims are in very good vintage condition with no noticeable wear.
