The sculpture is executed in cast bronze with heavily wrought surface. The sculpture with base weighs 17.5 pounds. The sculpture is signed but I am unable to make out the signature. It may be “Surne Fanrdz Pazid” or something else. Please see the enlarged signature to come to your own conclusion. The work is executed in bronze which gives the piece a fluid and unifying quality. The figures are joined in a careful manner to depict a sense of affection and solidarity. The composition exhibits a great sense of feeling for the human figure revealing the living unity of the family structure. Central to the execution of the work is the process of making demonstrated by the highly textured and wrought surfaces which make the forms feel alive. See less
