This Large Ornate Golden Tiger Oak Curio has three glass bows with the top quarter made from leaded glass rectangles. There are holding 4 oak curved shelves etched with plate grooves. The door opens in the center and is flanked by pillars decorated with a carved tobacco motif at the top and a spindle shape at the bottom. The curio is supported in the front with 2 massive 5 toed paws and in the rear with an abbreviated paw shape. The Curio is topped off with a 4 inch thick shaped and beaded molding. Adorning the top of the curio is a separate shelf with Flying Griffins sitting over a 3 section silvered mirror.

This is a magnificent showpiece with its carving and details, I love the beauty of the top section of leaded glass, the whimsy of the Griffins and power of the enormous front paws. The finish is beautiful showing the striations of the tiger oak.

Overall the piece is in perfect condition with only a slight de-silvering in the mirror corners.
