This painting is executed in oil on chamfered oak wood panel which shows the typical lathe marks on the back of an early panel. The painting depicts a traditional Dutch scene with locals skating on the frozen river, the painting is unsigned but is probably 17th or 18th century based on the panel.

Condition: General age wear. Split to panel causing vertical line in the painting along the right side. General wear to the frame.
