Manuel Canovas (1935-2021) was a very famous designer, well known for his vibrantly patterned fabrics and wallpapers.
" All my life I have liked big motifs. They feel more elegant, more generous", Canovas said in an interview with "House and Garden" in 1988.
The private label that shares his name was purchased by London-based conglomerate Colefax Group in 1988.
Manuel Canovas designs are in international permanent collections, including the Cooper Hewitt Museum in New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
