This vessel is a tall oval container. The black is obsidian. The colorful wave is singular and continuous. The single wave undulates and flows up through and then down the vase. It stands an impressive 20" tall. It is wider at its center than it is on either end. The mouth opening is 3.5". The circumference at its widest is 18". I am certain that one could determine the center's diameter from these numbers,... but I cannot as I was an undisciplined geometry student. So I will approximate the center diameter at 5.5". I used this vase to dramatic effect when displaying long stemmed gladiolas while entertaining. The blue tag you see displayed was placed there by the auction house from which I purchased this vase over thirty years ago.
The bottom pontil of this exemplar is polished, yet not signed.
