The Pop Art poster is published by Buchheim Posters, printed in Feldafing Germany in 1968. It features a Psychedelic Pop Art style artwork image created by Buchheim titled " Hallo Boys ".

Lothar Gunther Buchheim ( 1918 - 2007 ) was a german author and artist. In World War II he served as a war correspondent aboard ships and U-Boats. he is best known for his 1973 novel Das Boot, which became an international best seller and was adapted in 1981 as an Oscar nominated film.

After the war, he worked as an artist, art collector, gallery owner, art auctioneer and art publisher. In the 1950's - 1960's Buchheim established an art publishing house and wrote books on artists Georges Braque, Max Beckman, Otto Mueller, and Pablo Picasso. He collected artworks by French and German Expressionist artists including Emil Nolde, Wassily Kandinsky, Paul Klee, Franz Marc, Gabriele Munter, and Max Beckman among others, amassing an impressive and very valuable collection.

The rare out of print Mid Century Modern lithograph print Pop Art poster measures 16 7/8" W X 24" H. It is printed on smooth finish paper stock with vibrant ink colors in a matte finish.

It is in excellent " like new " vintage condition consistent with age and light signs of handling. It has never been framed. There is a soft crease bend in the lower right corner. Please see photos for condition reference. It is now being offered here for an excellent price. See less
