Crafted from solid 19th century oak from the French Pyrenees and reclaimed pine wood, the "Zouzoulou" or "Zuzulu", (Catalan term for this kind of unusual piece, and pronounced Zoozooloo) has a slant top, hand carved raised geometric panels front and back, and exquisite forged wrought iron hardware throughout. The heavy piece features a bench trunk with inside storage and center divider, a fold-down table for eating, drinking or playing cards, and both sides are dressed with display shelving, including a bottom hatch with elegant forged hardware for additional storage. The cabinet is in excellent condition with a rich walnut patina, exceptional hardware, and exquisite natural distress. A true one-of-a-kind conversation piece!
