An English, bronze table light with ancient Roman influence from the famous Townley Vase, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

Superb bronze homage to the Townley Vase, a large Roman vase of the 2nd Century CE. The marble vase with krater overtones was discovered in 1773 beneath a villa south east of Rome. It was sold to the British Museum in 1805.
