Vintage: C.1970's Italian hand-blown, Alessandro Mandruzzatto, a solid and heavy, faceted and polished, tri-colored Murano in a sophisticated cool sky … Read more Vintage: C.1970's Italian hand-blown, Alessandro Mandruzzatto, a solid and heavy, faceted and polished, tri-colored Murano in a sophisticated cool sky blue outer, with an interior combination of oxblood red, burgundy, and/or maroon coloration, (depending on the light), and an inner middle layer of amber or cognac color. Polished pontil bottom, top and sides. While the top and base has a 1/16" beveled edge, intrinsic to sustaining the overall flat polish, and offsetting the entire piece. The prismatic interplay of; light and vantage placement, often times given the natural or unnatural light hitting upon the piece, and the differing light refractions and depths of the colorations will take on a softer soothing and hypnotic variations, and at the times a more intense darker version of each coloration, given the time of day, vantage point of placement, etc. but the beauty in this is the ever-changing formations of the colorations, within these faceted and polished sides. Universal and integral inclusion within the Murano world of Alessandro Mandruzzato, cemented in the generations of Murano Artisans to follow, and all those whom covet such beauty.
