Sketch for a Sculpture is an original Pencil and Pastel realized by Charles Moulin in early-20th Century. Good condition on a little brown paper. No signature. Charles Lucien Moulin ( 1869 - 1960) was a French painter. Moulin was not affiliated with any of the artistic currents of the time; his production is substantiated in portraits or landscapes in which the realism of the subjects is interpreted with poetic freshness. To obtain the effects he sought he relied mainly on the technique of pastel, which offers the advantage of a fast execution and purity of color. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
