Kabuki is an original artwork realized in 1862. Breast portrait of the actor Sawamura Tanosuke in front of a dark blue background, as Kanehira's daughter, in the inset portrait of Bando Komazo as Kanpo Jirokichi. Figures of the Michiyuki dance love drama Iro Naoshi Kata no Mosen. Signed: Kio Toyokuni ga (77 Toyokuni). Publisher: Ebiya Rinnosuke. Censorship: Aratame. Wood engraver: Matsushima Masakichi. Very good impression with blind printing, visible wood grain and baren printing lines, kirazumi (mica in black at upper margin), wormholes, creased, fold along left margin. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
