The lithograph print poster is published by Walt Disney Art Classics, printed in 1988 in an unnumbered limited edition, copyright Disney Design : Patrick Dooley Design, color separations & printing by Color Service Inc. It features an artwork image created by Thiebaud titled " Toy Mickey ".

Wayne Thiebaud ( 1920 - 2021 ) is an American painter widely known fo his luscious handling of paint, and brilliant colorful palette of works depicting commonplace objects that combined sensuousness, nostalgia and a hint of melancholy. Thiebaud is associated with The Pop Art Movement because of his interest in objects of mass culture, although his early works executed during the 1950's and 1960's, slightly predate the works of classic Pop artists. He uses heavy pigment and exaggerated colors to depict his subjects, and the well defined shadows characteristic of advertisements are almost always included in his work. Art works by Thiebaud are included in the collections of many of the most prestigious museums.

At age 16, Thiebaud worked as an apprentice in the animation department of Walt Disney Studios following his love of cartoons and illustration. In his depiction of the iconic cartoon character, Mickey Mouse, is a pure pleasure for the eyes in both composition and color palette. Thiebaud's artwork " Toy Mickey " is a thoroughly modern treatment of his iconic motifs. Both Thiebaud, as well as the Disney empire, were fascinated by the pictorial possibilities of objects drawn from everyday life.

The rare out of print framed lithograph print Pop Art poster measures 24 1/4" W X 30 1/4" h X 1 1/8" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern matte satin finish brushed brass gold tone metal frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " very clean vintage condition consistent with age and light signs of handling.
