Probably made somewhere else in the Middle East. Brass has some age related patina. It has an intricate pattern on the front as well as on the back. The hinged lid, where the pens would be stored, is mounted a bit askew ( see photos). The lid for the actual inkwell is shell shaped. It measures 9 3/8" long and 2" deep (at the inkwell) See less
