Take a look at this artfully crafted set of nested baskets, four in all, graduated sizes that nest snugly inside one another, circa 1980s. The colorful organic look-and-feel will play well in any space! The set, on its own, is a perfect décor accent, or separate, to use as stylish storage pieces throughout your home. The artisan who made the set used a pairing weave at the bases, while over and under randing was employed to construct the main body with a plait weave for the collars. Side handles are made from three cranked (twisted) willow rods that were put in place before the collars were woven, which serve as braces to the handles and prevents them being pulled up when the baskets are carrying weight. The set is structurally sound and in overall excellent condition with minimal use wear; simply lovely! Naturally aged lacquer finished willow produces a vivid spectrum of colors that can change depending on light reflection. See photos which were shot both in and out of doors for variation in hues. Together the set weighs 7 lbs. 1 oz. and measures as follows:

Large basket: 19½” x 11½” W/H; interior 16” x 7¾” W/H
Medium basket: 16” x 10½” W/H; interior 12” x 6½” W/H
Small basket: 13½” x 9¼” W/H; interior 10” x 5” W/H
Smallest basket: 9¾” x 8”W/H; interior 6½” x 4½” W/H
