This is a Regency piece from late 1800s England. The wood patina is rich and deep and the design is unique. It is octagonal in a square-shaped top with cantered corners.
The four legs are offset clustered bamboo on plinths supported by acorn feet. There is a brass X-form stretcher.
This beautiful piece came from a South Bay antique store that closed..
