Made from amber coloured Bakelite, resin or a similar medium. This double-sided curio is intricately hand-decorated with two scenes - one mountain landscape & figures, one with a pair of auspicious phoenix amongst flowering foliage.
The front depicts a noble lady at her desk in front of a garden pavilion while men and women wait to see to her. Background of mountains, rocks and trees. The back depicts a pair of phoenix birds amongst rocks & foliage.
The plaque rests on an elegant custom made rosewood stand with scrolled legs. A rare and unusual work of etched art.
