Unique original color engraving from a 1870s English alphabet book. Each print uses a letter of the alphabet to teach children about life in London, including the people and everyday scenes. Printing by Evans and Bronheim, a firm founded by Edmund Evans (1826-1905) who is regarded as one of the most successful English color printers of the nineteenth century.
Print is carefully packaged in an archival plastic sleeve with backing board, and shipped in a cardboard flat mailer with cardboard insert. Includes a certificate with additional information and accompanying original text page featuring a poem for each letter of the alphabet.
Multiple print purchases are combined into a single shipment. We will refund the excess shipping charge paid.
