Old Thai Temple statue or figure purchased in Thailand in the 1980's. Made of wood which is now very light in weight (testament to it's age), this hand crafted piece is carefully carved and painted in gold. The winged figure holds a golden sword and a container or urn on one shoulder. One of the red stones is still in place. The winged figure stands on a round mat red/black plinth. Traditional Thai style up-turned shoes and attire.
Age: very early 20th. Century or Late 19th.
