The lid has two cutouts in the shape of elongated triangles that serve as the handle yet the inside is closed to seal the vessel. Celadon glaze on top of the lid and around the side of the jar. Fluting around the bottom edge. Makers mark on the bottom of piece. I have a pair, should you be interested in more than one. See less
