When wound it plays a tune, "How Dry I Am" by Irving Berlin. Plays when you pick it up and turns off when you set it down. All works excellent as it was intended.. The head is the cork stopper, tight fitting and in excellent condition. Original red paper label on the bottom reads, "Caution! Do Not Force Key" plus another label which appears to be maker's mark but cannot make it out. See less
