Artist Biography
Jacob Taanman ,Dutch painter ,was born on October 09, 1836 and died on April 02, 1923.
As an artist he was a member of Arti et Amicitae in Amsterdam. He mainly worked in Amsterdam. From 1866 he stayed temporarily in Oosterbeek.
Various museums have purchased his work, including Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam Frans Hals Museum Haarlem. He won the gold medal in 1877 and was awarded with a Spanish Decoration in 1898. Attached is a handwritten card of the painter himself.
