Created in France at the end of the reign of king Louis XV nicknamed "The Beloved", this fountain features a two-part pewter lavabo, mounted on a walnut hand-carved structure. Adorned with a shell motif on the crest flanked with acanthus leaves, the fountain is resting on four slightly curving legs connected to one another through a carved apron on three sides.
