This converted girandole lamp dates most likely to the 1850s and depicts the Roman goddess Fortuna (Fortune) with her mural crown atop a stepped base.
Gilt branches of acanthus leaves form the arms, Italian Gothic style bobeches, gessoed wood candle sleeves, and three black shades to top it off.
