The fine art lithograph print is published by The Carnegie Museum of Art ( CMOA ) in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, the city of Warhol's birthplace. Printed in a series of limited edition color lithograph prints by the museum in 1986. The print is signed in the plate, hand numbered 930/2400 from the edition of 2400, CMOA stamp on the reverse back side. It features an artwork image originally created by Warhol in 1981 titled " Mickey Mouse ".

Andy Warhol ( 1928 - 1987 ) is one of the singularly most well known Contemporary artists of all time. His imagery is recognized worldwide. For his selection of subjects for the Myths portfolio of ten fictional characters from Twentieth Century pop culture, Warhol chose from classic Hollywood films, literature and television to reflect and transform true American idols into Pop Art icons. As a childhood he found comfort in Mickey Mouse comics an unlikely hero he idolized.

The fantasy figure from childhood, a quintessential American image, is a typical Warhol icon. The Myths portfolio encompassed his personal life experience and the magic of 20th Century American pop culture. The rare out of print large lithograph print measures 23 5/8" W X 23 5/8" H. It is printed on high quality heavyweight premium paper stock with vibrant ink colors in a matte finish.
