The Light Catcher comes to life when touched by sunlight. Interactions of light with the piece reveal the passage of time. Through the changing seasons, it is intended to act as a connection between you and your environment.
First Shown during Milan 2013 for the Wallpaper Handmade exhibition the Light Catcher is an aesthetic descendant of the Tax Bench, which was designed for Swarovski, Design Miami in Basel 2012.
Eyal Burstein is a conceptual product designer investigating social behaviour and perception. Interested in self-censorship, morality, and its effects on creativity, Burstein makes objects that probe and emphasise our life choices.
Awarded, Designer of the Future by Design Miami, his work has been exhibited at MoMa, the Design Museum in London, the V&A, and he has published a book titled Taxing Art with Gestalten.
