Numbered, edition of … Read more Landscape is an original lithography artwork realized by Arturo Tosi. Hand-signed on the lower right in pencil. Numbered, edition of 8/40 prints. The state of preservation is good. The artwork represents a beautiful scenery of a lake with a tree beside it, through intense black, created by quick and confident strokes, a poetical landscape which is typical of the artist's style, from a rare edition of only 40 prints. Arturo Tosi (b. Busto Arsizio, 1871) started his painting career in 1885. In 1882, his family moved to Milan. He trained with the artist Adolfo Feragutti Visconti whilst attending the Scuola Libera del Nudo at the Accademia di Brera (1889–90). He associated himself with the post-Scapigliati and joined the artistic circles of Carlo Jotti and Gerolamo Cairati. See less
