This artwork was realized on occasion of the exhibition Fautrier œuvres 1940 - 1964 dedicated to the artist and held at Galerie Di Meo in Paris in 1986. The poster represents the artwork Branchages realized by Fautrier in 1943. Jean Fautrier (Paris, 1898 – Châtenay-Malabry, 1964) was a very important French painter, illustrator and printmaker. He was one of the most important exponents of Tachisme and founded the Informalism with Jean Dubuffet. See less
