This beautiful colored print represents an abstract composition with grey and white geometric shapes that remind to a crescent moon. The black background gives a tone of elegance to the entire composition Luigi Veronesi (Milan, 28 May 1908 - Milan, February 1998). At 20 he became interested in painting studying at the Neapolitan painter Carmelo Violante. The great Modigliani exhibition of 1930 and the discovery by Kandinsky, Klee, and Schlemmer paved the way to abstract art. In Milan, in 1932, he exhibited his first still figurative creations, but immediately afterward the research on abstract art would begin. In 1934 he joined the Parisian group Abstraction création, he knew the experiences of Swiss constructivism and he adhered to the German Bauhaus. He actively participates in most of the exhibitions of those years, such as the historical exhibition of Italian abstract art at the XXXIII Venice Biennale. The multi-faceted personality, painter, designer, graphic designer, filmmaker, and photographer, has contributed to making him one of the greatest Italian abstractionists of the 900 fully integrated into an international environment.
