Fernand Edmond Jean Marie Khnopff (1858- 1921) was a symbolist Belgian painter and was a key member of the artistic vanguard that arose outside of France in the 1880s and 1890s. well-known for for his paintings that is a combination of realism with dreamy atmosphere. his Symbolist artworks, were inspired by literature particulary, by the writings of Gustave Flaubert.
