This … Read more Elle le boude is a hand-watercolored etching on paper realized in 1801 by the French artist Louis-Philibert Debucourt (1755-1832). This is an original illustration (plate n. 46) published in the IX year. From a suite of 52 plates titled''Modes et Manières du Jour à Paris à la fin du 18e siècle et au commencement du 19e siècle''. On the top the inscription: Modes &c. N° 46.'' ; ''Flor. An 9'' ; under the engraved image ''Elle le boude. / Chapeau ovale\. Voile froncé.)''. Describing the female fashion of the beginning of XIX century, our specimen is in excellent condition and with vivid colors, except for a light foxing and a usual yellowing of the paper at the edge. Including a cardboard passepartout (cm 25 x 19). One copy is preserved at the Musée Carnavalet, Histoire de Paris. See less
