The artwork represents a female nude in profile with an abstract multicolour composition. There are colored boxes with black vertical lines and a purple background. Nicola Simbari (San Lucido, 1927) was an Italian painter. Simbari's works are characterized by swatches of bright pastel hues to form stylized representations of people and places. His oeuvre features recurring landscape scenes of Mediterranean environments, often with partially nude women bathing or in the process of dress.
