Signed on the lower right corner: A.Andréas. Original lithograph. Very good conditions. Interesting lithograph on paper depicting the figure of an old man sitting on an old desk with books. The man wears an elegant coat and a top hat. The work has been realized by the German artist Andreas Achenbach (Kassel, 1815 - Düsseldorf, 1910). Achenbach was a German landscape and seascape painter in the Romantic style. He is considered to be one of the founders of the Düsseldorf School. His brother Oswald was a landscape painter. They were known as the ''Apha and Omega'' of landscape painters. This artwork is shipped from Italy.
