The artwork is dedicated to “sir tommaso, manzel talbot, english chevalier”. Signed on plate “cavaliere piranesi f.” on lower left corner. Excellent conditions, lightly browned paper, with normal foxing and stains, left margin slightly damaged, higher margin with binding holes. Image dimensions : 53.3 x 39 cm undoubtedly piranesi was one of the most important engravers in 18th century even if he was well-known as an architect and an archaeologist: the greatest engraver in the period from rembrandt a goya.
