Small Flat Lady's Desk, Louis XV period, in Marquetry and multiple woods.
The top is embellished with a generous Violet Wood and Light Wood decoration, and floral motifs. The Chantourné rim of this tray is in Amaranth.
The Movement-turned belt of this Table Desk has five drawers of identical depth, assembled with Dovetails. The first, in the center, is wider than the four others, distributed in pairs on either side. The fronts of these drawers are in Geometric Cubic Curling. These inlays, which are also found on the sides of the cabinet, are underlined by stained wood fillets forming frames, giving the illusion of a composition with only three drawers. The latter are fitted with bronze lock entries and working locks, all original. The cabinet is supplied with its three keys, which are current. Please note that the drawer at the top right is partially compartmentalized.
The back side is decorated with a nice Herringbone Veneer, allowing to imagine this Desk as well against a wall as in the middle of a room.
The whole rests on four Soberly Curved legs, inlaid on the inside, and finished with Bronze Clogs.
The sides as well as the bottoms of the drawers are in Oak.
Finesse and Elegance are the charms of this Small Office, which offers a pleasant working space and conducive to Escape.
