The smells and rumors of the old markets in the distance, we are immersed in the atmosphere of the village square in the 40s and 50s. These ancient wooden slatted trestles were used by the market gardeners to display vegetables and fruits. On occasion, they were also used to dry or preserve food in the cellars. We can imagine them today as a plant stand or decorative object in a grocery store or a store with a retro atmosphere!
The displays are made of wood and wooden slats. They are foldable. The slats are a little deformed by the years. The displays are slightly inclined to allow water to drain. They have a patina. These objects are quite rare and original.
132cm long, 48cm wide, 18cm high.
