Marked with paper label, stamp with date of manufacture and metal sticket with name of hotel. Found total five-pieces of these chairs, three of them were purchased by major bentwood furniture collectors. Chairs cannot be found in the available historical catalogues. It is probably a special model designed for a specific property. The only historical document shows a similar chair designed by Joseph Hoffmann, with the same backrest construction. This is a photo from the Austrian House at the ''Werkbund'' exhibition in Cologne from 1914. Newly restored. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
