It is a very rare find two identical and finely made sewing boxes together with such an adorable story attached to them. On opening the top lid one finds the most charming hexagonal pocket tray with a note from "uncle walter" from 1908 to his nieces on their 18th birthday. The paper lining is equally engaging and remarkably well preserved with gold stars on midnight lapis blue. There are two additional drawers with brass handles.
