The body of each vase features gilt decorative motifs on a dark sevres-blue ground, with a central cartouche on the front and the reverse, each showing a still life scene of a pair of cherubs, bouquet of flowers, on white background. The vases are also mounted with gilt bronze, in the form of a laurel wreath at the base, and in the form of foliage and a pine-cone finial on the lid.
