This collection collaborated with the Kaizawa sculptural workshop where they have designed and carved a contemporary Ainu motif representing the eyes of the Blakiston Fish Owl, a symbol of protection for the Ainu people.

The Ainu owl motif has been echoed in the collection's white clay ceramic designs, which are cast and hand-finished by specialists in the Veneto region, Italy. The Matcha bowl is unique, the perfect ceramic teaware vessel for mixing and whisking a traditional matcha tea. The internal cavity is smooth and round that allows for better brewing, with an external rectangular shape designed for an easy grip when sipping the tea. See less
