The table has been structurally revised and waxed, preserving its rich, dark brown patina and historical character. The rectangular plank top features a raised molded border with mitered corners, resting above a single drawer fitted with a rounded wooden pull. The drawer retains its traditional wooden construction, with dovetail joinery and a plank bottom. Four boldly carved barley twist legs support the table, joined by an elaborate H-form stretcher incorporating spiral turnings, rounded baluster details, and geometric blocks. The contrast between the restrained tabletop and sculptural base gives the piece a distinctive architectural presence. Rounded bun feet complete the design. Its proportions make it suitable as a side table, writing table, or accent piece in a living room, study, or entryway. The table retains natural age-related wear, including surface marks, minor imperfections, and historical woodworm traces consistent with its age.
